Mallorca CC

There will also be a game against Christ's Hospital School on the 19th April. Tommo and Scott P. will be organising the team for this match, which will be a good opportunity meet Matt Brown who will be playing for the club whilst working at Christ's Hospital this summer. Matt is currently playing for Melbourne CC 1st XI in Australia and is a part of the Victoria U19 State Team.

The 3rd XI season begins on May 2nd , with the 1st and 2nd XI’s commencing the following week – May 9th .

Important Details to Note:

  • Subscriptions are due in the run up to the start of the season. These are £80 for seniors, please could you send your cheque to Geoff Thomas.

  • The club is making an application for the erection of two lanes of high class nets adjacent to the Pavilion. These will fully conform to ECB standards and will be a wonderful facility for both juniors and seniors. The club has pledged £5,000 towards the construction which will cost about £18,000 + VAT. We are in the course of fundraising and the least that the seniors can do at this stage is pay their subs early without the usual hassles of chasing. The square is looking in excellent condition, all credit to Ian Leek for his time and effort and the money that we have spent on it since the end of last season.

  • The juniors start their coaching on the 18th April on Friday evenings at the club. It would be great if senior members could make themselves available to help the coaches and parents. If you can please let Pat Marshall know. In any event the bar will be open and as we need to make as much money from this facility as possible your custom will be welcomed.
