All About Churt CC

Our History

Churt Cricket Club (CCC) is an amateur cricket club founded in 1875 and celebrated its 140thanniversary in 2015. This makes it one of the oldest clubs in the local area.

The club originally played on the ground in Frensham but is now located on the recreation ground in Churt. The club moved to the recreation ground in the 1920’s. The recreation ground itself was purchased following an appeal to Churt inhabitants as a war memorial to the fallen of World War I. It was opened in 1921.

The current pavilion was built in 1984 and has changing rooms, a kitchen, bar and a function room. The building can be booked for private functions and if you are interested please contact Dawn Barrow (Parish Clerk) on 01428 714375  email:
