of the Churt Cricket Club website

 

The Junior section of the club will celebrate 50 years not out in Churt in 2011!

We now number over 100 junior and youth players representing the club at Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 levels. Our teams compete in the Berkeley Sports Two Counties Youth League. Please see our fixtures section for up to date match dates and venues for 2011.

Coaching and skills training for the juniors takes place each Friday evening at the Churt Recreation Ground from 15th April 2011 and runs through to 29th July. Friday evenings are very popular with juniors and parents alike. Parents can enjoy a drink and something from the barbeque on the pavilion patio while watching the juniors training or competing in matches.

We are a very friendly club and welcome new members. We have experienced high levels of interest in the club this year and to ensure we retain our safe ratios of coaches to children, parents of players wishing to join should visit our How To Join section and in the first instance make contact with the Junior Chairman - James Newman. We will welcome any new members providing we have the correct supervision and coaching ratios within our age groups.

The Club has achieved Clubmark accreditation through Surrey Cricket Club who are supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board. This recognises Churt Cricket Club as a safe and secure environment for children to develop and enjoy their cricket.
